you should get banned for starting this thread in the engine performance.
Good point, that I'd overlooked. Fixed.
and instead of moderators posting in this thread complaining, why not close down the threads?
O, that goes well. Take it from the head thread-Nazi.

We really are here to help, and much more than not, we try to. But sometimes, goddamn it gets out of hand. The twin threads ten posts apart is an excellent example.

Still, restraint. Restraint.

I fell needs to be stated here, because here is where the constant onslaught of stupid unresearched questions occur and are unwelcome.

Also, I was thrown over the edge with the last “What Garrett turbo should I buy” bullshit thread, so in a fury, I just clicked now thread and typed away.

Hey COLT now after a bit you will have to ask a mod to lock this thread so it does not run perpetually!! Mark

How about a suggestion? Since I was a regular on DSMTalk, there was a separate and very comprehensive "We've seen these before.." forum there where all the FAQ's were posted and stickied. That way, you don't have to deal with the influx of monotonous repetitive questions day by day in Tech. :thumb: That worked very well there when used with the search button. Of course it helped alot since the mods there didn't waste time locking those threads immediately without giving any reason at all.

I think when you register you should have to answer a series of questions and if you can't answer them, you can't post until you SEARCH THE FRIGGIN' FORUMS FOR THE ANSWERS :thumb:

Having one don't seem to help much, do it?

:|

Yeah, I know about that one although it could use more FAQs' especially due to all the repititive subjects being asked like you mentioned in your previous post. :thumb: There's just too much spoon-feeding here. That's what's making all the newbs lazy by posting the same friggin questions day by day since they know someone will either answer them or search for that info. for them. :thumb:

I agree with huafist ^^^^. :thumb:

And on 'Talk you COULD just tell somebody to use the f'ing Search button.

Yeah, but when you did search, you'd end up with nothing but posts where nobody answered the question but screamed at the kid to "USE THE FRIGGIN SEARCH BUTTON!!!!!!!1111"

Well I dunno about anyone else, but I never had a problem finding info using the search button on Talk. Same way here, all the info it rather easy to find if you search for it. Maybe we should create a thread consisting of searches for common problems? That way they can't use the "I searched but couldn't find anything" routine.

I have a 4cyl. 98 Eclipse, what turbo (s) should I go with to run 9's? I was thinking 2 T88's with ball bearings, and a big chrome Blow Off Valve, some 5" sewer pipe, and one of those 5" monster tach's with the shift light on the side. I wanna run 9's so I can blow away this SRT 4 in my town :shhh: , will Twin T88's do it for me on my stock injectors?

thanks yall. :thumb:

They've been there, and done that.

You shouldnt have a problem finding an answer using the search button. People just type something in 1 way, dont see theyre exact question in the thread topic, so say 'i searched, i found nothing'. If you cant find it in the search, try to google it, its probly asked somewhere.

The best way to take care of the lazy who feel its necessary to post these DUMB questions, or repetitive questions is to simply, post in the thread, for them to use the search button, and lock it.

Letting threads go and stay open that have the dumb repetitive questions is allowing others to think its not a problem, and making people lazy. Jump down some throats for a little while if you have to banning threads, itll get people maybe a little scared and get em to use the damn search button.

And you should make a forum "how to run 9's". And redirect all the ### 'what turbo should i use?' 'how fast will be my car with these mods' and 'what do i need to have a daily driven 10sec car on pump gas' threads into it, maybe people will get the idea.
