No i got an even bigger problem with my POS Talon. I finally got the thing back on the road and inspeted. Was driving to work yesterday, Got on it just becuase i could. Ran the car throw first, 2nd, then 3rd before i left off. Looked down at my oil pressure gauge and it said 10-0psi. I pushed the clutch in to shut the car off and the gauge needle jumped to 40 psi. so i thought alright thats weird. Now i've noticed just randomly driving, usally under 3k, the car will lose all oil pressure, untill i either rev the car up or it'll go up by itself. I'm lost on this one. I've searhed and one thread said bad rod bearings could cause a lost in pressure becuase of the clearences. I know the rod bearings weren't pretty when i was in there before (i posted pictures of them before) but i figured they'd hold up for awhile yet. Another one said that the srping in the oil pump might be getting stuck and there was a bolt that could beremoved to check that under the car. Anyone know where that bolt is? What are the chances my oil pump is going out? i know stockers rarly go out, mine only has 80k on it.

cant really figure out why it would be the gauge, its mechical so nothign could really go wrong with it could there be?

The gauge could be out of calibration or broken on the inside. Does this happen only when it gets warm or does it happen even when cold? If it only happens when warm you could have a bearing going out. First I would check the oil pressure gauge as it would be the easiest.

Not sure how 2g's have the wire connected to the oil pressure sender, but my 1g had similar problem...it was a loose connector on the sending unit.

alright today i jsut went ahead and changed the bearings with new ones, plastigaged them, everythings with in spec, new 10w-30 oil and new filter. Everything was great left the car warm up to normal temp, car ran quiter and smoother (might be in my head), and oil pressure was higher. Took it for a 5 min drive and the gauge did the same thing, but only once. Im guessin the gauge is messed up inside.

Have you put an additional oil pressure gauge on there to confirm your findings?

Also, check the oil pressure sending unit for leaking as well as oil contamination if you're using an electric pressure switch.

Finally, when you had it all apart did you check your oil pick-up for debris and your cylinder head for oil caking?

Your sensor for your gauge might be going bad or you have a bad conection. Common with autometer crap
