Well the KCIR opend up last sunday and i was able to get in a couple passes of consistant 14.2s w 1.9 60ft and got a best of a 14.1 @96 with a 1.846 60ft which was kindof a let down cause i was hoping for 13s but it will have to wait till next time. That was on 92oct pump gas from the local BP with the boost set at 9 but spiking to 18psi. While i was there one of the cars i lined up next against was a 99 or so supercharged GT but by the end of the 1/4mile he was catching up fast, he ran a time of 14.3 at 101 with a 2.4 60ft and on that run i only mustard a 14.2

i guess its time to mod and get that boost under control which im sure is giving a bunch of knock all over the place after anything above 15psi
 
Very respectable times considering your car is nearly stock :thumb:

I'm wondering why you're boost is spiking though as you list a stock turbo and I assume stock exhaust :confused:

Where are you tapping for your MBC's boost source?

ah ya my mod list is outdated cause i dont get on here to often but all i have done is K&N filter, 3" turbo back , walbro 190fp with 10gauge rewire.

Future mods include some cooling work and getting boost controld as much as possible without an external wastegate

Didn't the stock 99 Mustang GT's run 14.2's ? I just saw a show on Speed channel where they are working on one, and the driver was able to run a 14.2 bone stock.

I ran an '03 S/C Cobra last year but the weather was cold the staging lanes wet giving me a huge jump on him, but he ended up running me down near the end 13.8 to my 13.9 (car ran like poop last year btw :cry: )

Those 03 Cobras are notrious for having terrible traction from a stop, they are easily 12 second cars bone stock. Dont beat yourself up over that loss, you stayed close to a very quick V8.
 
There was no way that mustang was a V8 supercharged and only ran a 14.3. Like Red95DSM was saying.... I've seen stock GT's run low to mid 14's continously. I even had a friend who ran a 13.8 with his GT with only intake and exhaust.

ROFL Maybe it had a 69.95$ electric Supercharger I heard those things are badass! ROFL

or maybe hes the god of Mustangs and ran a Duel electric supercharger setup.

No offense but S/C'd Mustang running 14's either equates to a shitty driver or shitty tires...


Good run btw... 13's require a good launch and steady boost... try turning the boost to 15psi and ported the o2 housing... that got rid of my boost creep back in the day...
 
I seen a fully built 2000+ cobra with a t72 and slicks run a 7.8 1/8 it was so funny ROFL must of had some really bad tuning issues. They put it back on the trailer and went home after they where beaten by a street driven supercharged fox body with ac and street tires and a starlet with a 13b

I love these responses. So every driver will drive perfect all the time? Will they have the best tune for those exact conditions? What about tires and track prep? All those things need to be talen into consideration before you start saying there is no way. I beat a WRX across and intersection in my FWD Laser, becasue the kid couldnt drive to save his life.

That's soo true! I raced a kid in "daddy's" C6 Corv from a light and smoked him by 2 car lengths. :tease: Then I ran into "Daddy" about a week later and took him off the line but by 3rd he was already passing me like I was stopped. WTF

Behold the power of AWD. RWD vs AWD, nobody has to guess whos going to get a jump from a light.
