nice run, looked like you had a bit a wheel hop there trying to warm those tires up though, just one of the many delights of FWD

that's damn good man.. especially for FWD.. I wish i could be as good as that.. What's the technique in getting a good lauch for a fwd?

Well, after 14 runs, I'm still trying to figure that out! I found that slipping the clutch and then getting out of first gear really quickly worked best for me.

Thanks guys-

do you redline 1st gear? or go 6600k? I want to know how far in the RPM's do you take it from 1st to 4th gear.. thanks man..

No way, not even close to redline in first gear. I shifted out of first at about 5000, then took it to about 6400 in the other gears. It just doesn't pull as hard after that, to the redline. It was more beneficial to get out of the gear quicker than to stay in it and pull to redline.

That's a darn fine looking pass and the video makes me miss running at the track. I have to say that short shifting the car to keep the turbo in the spool range is just plain smart. Nice job on this one and if you can get those 60' times down a bit, you can carry an even better ET at the long end.

Nice run man.. Ive yet to run at hrp been there a few times. You post on htown dsm?

No, not yet. I joined a couple weeks ago, but haven't visited there much.

Thanks for all of the "good driving" compliments Iowaboostin', noz, BlackHalo, and other guys. :thumb:

I am stock turbo'd and was trying to squeeze all the boost that thing would put out. It was SOOO unpredictable and inconsistent. For my best runs, it would spike to almost 20, then run at 16, then above 4500 rpm it would begin to fade off to like 13. I hate it.

I do not have an open downpipe. Just full 3" from the turbo-back with no cat.
