i just bought my 2g GSX w/ coilovers ground controls the sprimgs say eibach sportlines, and since its ther winter i want to raise it, how easy is it, the guy who i bought it fomr says all you do is take tire off get a alan wrench and loose it...? is that it??..... and how do you make all 4 even?
thanks :thumb:

Ground Controls are adjustable coil overs that come with their own springs. Eibach Sportlines are are lowering variable rate springs that are not adjustable. You're facts are contradicting themselves.

Ground Control's come with Eibach springs. It should say "eibach" on the spring, but I don't know where you got that they're sportlines.

anyway, take an allen wrench, loosen the screw, and turn. The arrows on the collar tell you which direction. To get all four sides at the same height, use a tape measure.

also, you don't need to take off the tire, but you will need a jack.

One last point, since RamenPride has it pretty well covered.

The big mistake that people make with GC kits is over-tightening the locking screw. If you do this, it will seize and you're SOL. You only need to tighten it enough that the sleeve won't rotate.

It also helps to brush the dirt off the sleve before turning the collar so it doesnt bind up.

One thing to remember when setting the height is that if you rais the left rear, the right rear and left front will come up slightly as well. It can be a pita to set all perfect sometimes.

i raised it up ,,, yea its eibach not sportlines i dont know where i got that... but my ques is , is their a tool to turn it.. i was using my hands, what a pita took forever.......?

Yes there is a tool to turn them try looking on eibach's web site...the spindal comes w/ the coil overs when u buy them try contacting the guy that u bought it from he might still have it

can i buy the spindal somehwhee the kid i bought the car from is a rich ####er and doesnt have anything

Me, and 2 of my friends that have GC's didnt get the tool for the sleeve. All I got was an allen wrench, but mine turn find by hand.

Make sure you get an alignment after you change the ride height any substantial amount.
