Radio is Dead

So I was driving the other day and my radio started shutting off every so often when I hit a speed bump... finally it just went dead.. I didnt know where to look so I checked my fuse box.. sure enough there was a blown fuse... I replaced and the radio fired right up and worked when I turned the car onto aux mode... when I started the motor...boom blown fuse over and over.. Any ideas on what to do? (Note: this is the stock infinity system)

Check the plug to the amplifier under the passenger seat. It has a tendency to come out with bumps - mine does this all the time although it doesn't blow a fuse, it just stops working.

My guess is that the power wire for the radio is being shorted everytime you hit a bump. Check your power wire and see where it might be frayed or damaged.

check the ground also, if it is loose, and hitting a power wire, it will blow fuses... so i guess that means just check your wiring

So, I feel stupid. I went through and checked all the power wires, pulled the radio etc... finally I went into the trunk and sure enough under the spare tire cover, there was a random black wire hanging there. The plug for the factory 12 disc changer had managed to loosen itself and was the reason for the insane amount of blown fuses.

So 4 fuses, 2 hours of cursing, and alot of frustration later. It was a simple wire coming loose.
