radiator and brake lights on all the time

For about a year now my parking brake and cooling system dash lights have been on. At first they started going on and off at random but now they are on almost all the time.

The brake light never goes off. Before someone says it, Yes, the brake is off.

The cooling system light is on about 95% of the time. Sometimes when the car is warmed up the light will go off while accelerating and come back on when braking. However the coolant is topped off. Also the fan works.

Because they both started doing this at the same time I figured it was related but now I'm thinking that maybe both sensors are bad.

What do you guys think? Also do you know where the sensors are?

First, I'd take the expansion tank out and flush the thing out and clean the neck and float assembly. This will most likely clear up the coolant issue.

As for the park brake light. You'll probably have to adjust the switch that sends the signal the park brake has been applied. It's switch is behind the center console area. I can't recall the exact position in the lever but you'll find it easy enough once you get the side panels off. You'll have to make a small adjustment so the switch is depressed when the park brake handle is fully down.

LKWTSI and JoeBagadonuts, thanks for the ideas on what to check. Hopefully I'll get some time this week to check the brake fluid and clean out the overfill float. Those both sound like they could be the cause. I'll let you know.

LKWTSI and JoeBagadonuts, You guys are awesome! I just cleaned and refilled the coolant overflow and topped off the brake fluid and now more dash lights! I don't know why I never thought to check the fluid, I thought that light was just for the emergency brake. I wish I had posted this a year ago. Thanks again!
