racing header for 2g nt

my car is curenrlty stock under the hood, i plan on doing some mods cai header full cat exhaust intake mainfold thats about it to start off with.

i was wondering if anyone here has ever bought one of those headers off ebay that are about 100 bucks (no name brands). heres one that i was looking at possibly buying

a few people told me headers are all the same your just paying for the name when you buy obx headers or dc etc. what do you guys think about this header im on a budget and 100 bucks seems like a good deal to me hey it might not be a name brand but it all does the same thing.

also anyone have an opinion on this intake

i looked threw previous fourms i found some info on ebay intakes nothin to much i didnt find any info on the headers though -thanks for your responses

If you get a header, get an SSautochrome one from eBay. I haven't heard anything negative about them and they run approx. 130 including shipping. I have an OBX one and I wish I had gotten the other one, because it doesn't discolor as much. If you get one, prepare for your engine bay to get super HOT. The aftermarket header's also a good 20 lbs. or so lighter than your stock one.

Don't know much on the intake.

We only have 1 header ...I have the ssautochrome header off ebay...I can't complain about the price & it has worked well for me.

Yes, SSAutoChrome is the way to go. I'm ordering mine this week! I'll post pics when its installed.

HOw much does the header really help performance wise anyway? some people say a whole lot and other people say hardly at all....

On a 2gnt not much...It will change the tone in your exhaust, you might feel a very noticebale difference on the butt dyno but personally i think thats because you are expecting it .....Maybe 1-2 whp on a modified 2gnt

It also helps with moving exhaust out of the engine faster. That is the main performance enhancment, More air in more air out better power.

hey if you get the sschrome one form ebay it works good got one, but make sure to buy some header raps cus the egine bay gets real hot and could damage some part or your car. i had to replace my radiator cus the heat from the headers damaged them. so if your gonna get the ones from ebay go get some header raps unless you want to get some ceramic one, the ceramic headers dont generate as much heat. but i think they cost more. one thing you need to know too with the header raps is that once you put them on, they work well to keep the hot air in but in a few years the heat willl eventually eat through the headers so if you deside to get the raps make sure to replace the cheep hearders in a year or so. you'll save more money buy getting the raps and replaceing the headers than having the heat damage any thing.. one more thing haha if you drive daily with your car and hit traffic fequenly you can turn the a/c on in traffic so your fan turns on and cool the headers a bit.. thats all.. hehe i learned the hard way. good luck with you headers.....
