Death to my car. She died January 29, 2011. no water in the oil and no compression in any cylinders. fried the rings in the engine. so as of now im out of the DSM world... i dont have the money to pay for a new block and pay for college. I have to stay in college so that i can hopefully get a better job so i can get myself back into the DSM world. but as of now im done :(

:cry:sad story:cry: if you got some parts for sale i will buy them. that would at least help you pay for school books :sneaky:. hope to see you back in the dsm world soon :thumb:

Sorry to hear that:( I know exactly how you feel, my gsx is currently dead and hasn't moved in months but I can't afford to fix anything because I need the money for college.

That Does suck. 5 years ago mine died at 35mph. Finally got to rebuild her and started her up 2 months ago. Today she's running strong as ever. Keep her man.

i just put in a clarion deck, and pioneer 6x9 in back and 6 3/4 in the doors, downpipe straight pipe combo with a 3in cat back. huge front mount, dont know the dimensions, new intake, knock off greddy type s, 1g throttle body, 3 gauge a pillar pod, tinted boost gauge and i htink everything else stock...

oh i forgot about ngks wires and ngk plugs bpr6s

sorry to here that man, i know the feeling mine still down too until i finish the build/swap, been like this for 2 years, and i just recently started working on it.

I, too, would also like to add to this DSM death topic because mine officially died 2/2/2011 from hydrolock, apparently. man, i hate winter!

even though it was a 420A, im awfully depressed that its dead now. it was one of the only DSMs that was on the roads where i live.

it held up so well for so long and took me everywhere i wanted to go with no problems at all. i miss it already!

eventually i will get another 420A but this time ill probrably get a GST or GSX.

i feel your pain, spydergst. it really sucks...

thanks man, mine was one of the few that i spotted in my area, only 5 within 100 miles that was up and running well then this happened RANDOMLY! idk what caused it but im seriously considering parting my car out but idk how much i would get or if i should sell my car as is for some quick cash

me too! i was thinking about parting mine out as well, but the last few years of harsh winters have accelerated lots of rust. how convienent, right? :ohdamn:

people around where i live use TONS of salt to melt snow and ice instead good ol' fashioned shoveling. the underside of my car has TONS of rust from it and the strut towers are losing paint and gaining small traces of rust. no telling how much the hydrolock added as well......:( f*** my life....

it could be worse, spyder. it could've instantly caught on fire while you drove it WTF
