Quick questions about fuel sendin units...

is it possible that mitsiubishi used the same fuel sending unit for all its cars in 91 or around that time? im still lookin for a the sending unit (the thing the pump goes into, apperently this has 2 meanings i found out) and cant find one for my galant VR4. i was told maybe a DSM one would work but then i started thinking, MAYBE ohter cars from the same timeline can be used? i find fuel sending untis all day long on different cars made around the same time and they LOOK similar, but idk, i saw one for a 98 eclipse and wondered the possibilitys....anyone?

No. While the GVR4, AWD DSM and 3S fuel pump assemblies look about the same they are different.

they want 600 new for this part from mitsiubishi...wtf?

does anybody make some sort of "aftermarket" fuel sending unit for less? someoenm like aeromotive?

What the hell. Are you looking for a fuel pump, a gas gauge sending unit, or what?

We have two vendors that specialize in used DSM parts. Check with them once you figure out what you're looking for.

I assumed he was looking for a good fuel pump assembly for a GVR4. Like the 1G AWD cars the pump and sensors are all part of one unit but subject to rot due to the placement and self destruct when you try and upgrade the pump.

im looking for the actual item that goes into the fuel tank and holds the pump in it. i thought it was called a fuel sending unit, but i was wrong. thanks
