Quick Question about Fuel Filter Install

Im putting in a new fuel filter and heres my question, the top fuel hose with the large metal connector, can that be installed from either side or is there a top and bottom on that hose peice? i cant tell by looking at it and didnt pay enough attention when i took it off.

also there are 2 o-rings for the top hose, but none on the bottom, right?

are you talking the piece that looks like a sheild? All it does is keep from that top bolt from losing its tighteness..so just place it back on after you get it all put back togather......btw had fun doing the fuel filter??

yes 2 on top...I think there was 2 on the bottom?? I'm sorry I need to get back to work or else I would look at the cd for ya...do you have a chilton guide? If so look in durh..it should be in durh...

ok i got it figure out now. yes, this is the funnest thing ive ever done. I had to take a crap-load of stuff out to get to it, but once i made room it wasnt too bad. since i dont have torque wrench small enough to get down in there should i just tighten the hell out of em and put those bolts on with all my strength? they seem to tough to strip easily. i would hate for my car to explode some day.

i was gonna skip putting the filter in but the car has 125k miles and i think i just pulled out the original filter.

I did mine when the car had 50k on it and when I ran water through the filter after it was removed it was nasty. I wouldn't skip it.

Holy Crap!!! What a difference that made! I was hoping it would help my idle problem but no luck. But thats ok cause the power increase was well worth it! The old one must have been clogged pretty bad. I havent heard the engine roar that loud in quite some time! Thanks for all the help guys.
