hey guys im in the middle of putting my evo3 on my new eclipse. i am putting the turbo on, and then adding my walbro 190, 680 injectors, and the safc2. when YOu install the fuel pump YOu hafta:confused: release the fuel pressure till the car dies. once i do that could i crank the car that way to build oil pressure and prime the turbo? i need an easy way to do it...

[Work on the grammar.]

I read that you hold the turbine with your hand so that it cant move, have a friend start the car and hold it still for 30 seconds. That way the oil runs thru the lines into the turbo and back out. Then you let go of the turbine. Let the car sit @ idle for 5 minutes, then drive it w/out gettin on WOT for 10 minutes.

But double check me...

The 1G's have 3 large fuses attached to the positive battery terminal. Just pull the ones for spark and fuel and crank the motor until oil comes out the oil feed line. Then attach the oil feed to the turbo and crank again for 15 seconds. Put the 2 fuses back in and start the car. That's how i do it. mark

I know a guy lost his fingers doing that don't do this. Must people prime it on the bench run some fresh oil though it spinning the turbine. Then put it on the car unplug the fuel injection system and the coils wind it over for 12-30 seconds to prime the motor and turbo.

When I installed my Evo III i just pulled the spark plug wires, and turned the motor over for about 30 seconds. Checked the oil and then started the car. Easy as that.
