With fuel pump activated in link, key set to on position/engine off. Im getting 51psi on my fpr. Is that too high? Shouldnt i lower it to 43ish?

Just plug the vaccum port on the FPR and activate the pump on link. You want to be at 43psi on a 2g setup.

I have 1650cc injectors, bosch 044 in my surge tank and a wally255 in gas tank... isnt 51psi still kinda high?

Yes that's high. To check fuel pressure you disconnect the boost line from your fpr and cover it (the boost line) with your finger. That's how you get a true fuel pressure reading and then adjust it from there. Most run a fuel pressure of 43.5 which works great.

Before cranking down the pressure, make sure your fuel settings in Link use 43psi. If the injectors are setup for 1650cc at 51psi base pressure, lowering the fuel pressure will cause you to run lean. You can check this by using the built-in fuel calculator and comparing the global adjustment. While 43psi is the factory setting and best to use when possible, the "correct" fuel pressure is based on your setup and tune. You can lower IDC's by raising fuel pressure, but fuel pump flow is reduced. You can increase fuel pump flow by lowering fuel pressure, but IDC's will also increase. Whoever setup/tuned the car might have bumped fuel pressure for whatever reason. So check the settings first.

Is there anything wrong with having the wally in tank pump less if your trying to lower idc? And would rewire help? I need to up my pressure to get the most i can out of my pte 1000s.

The fuel pump is gonna push the same amount of fuel regardless. Its your FRR thats gonna set the psi. Rewire will definitely help max out the 255fuel pump.
If you can get the pressure down by adjusting the fpr then theres something wron with the fpr.
