You can, but the back pressure will be off. I would not recommend it.

You can, and there are no consequences of doing so. In fact, it's a very common modification. The only difference between the GS-T and RS/GS exhaust systems, however, is the muffler. You might be able to save yourself some money if you can find only the axle-back portion of a GS-T exhaust.
