Well my motor blew last week and am going with a 6 bolt. I bought a 6bolt long block, balance shafts removed, with a 2g race head..ported for a 1g intake manifold and other goodies. I know i need a 1g IM..but would it bolt up to my 2g TB? Will the 2g MAP sensor bolt to the 1g manifold? Will my transmission bolt up to the motor? I know i will need 6 bolt flywheel but is that all i need? Does it matter if the flywheel is for a 1g or 2g? Am new to this whole 6bolt things and i want to have everything ready for when my motor comes in..thanks any help is appreciated!

1.) Well a 1g TB is 60mm while a 2g is 58mm why not put a 1g TB on
2.) You should also do you clutch and PP... Waste not to.
3.) Well, if teh flywheel is for a 2g it will have 7 holes, not 6.... So yes.

That was fun.

If you are running a "race head" then you are going to want to run a 1g TB, or an even bigger aftermarket one.

You have to have the MAP sensor. The 1g IM doesnt have a spot for it, but DSMparts.com sells a piece that you mount the sensor to, and then run a vac line to. Its like $30.

The tranny will bolt up, and is actually preferred over the 1g tranny.

You need a 1g 6bolt flywheel. There is no 2g 6bolt flywheel.
