Question of Compatibility

I own a 1998 Spyder Convertible with the 2.4L SOHC engine (the dodge engine) and it is absolutely impossible to find performance parts for that engine, SO!

I want to purchase a 4G63 GST engine and drop it in instead. I need to know if the 6-bolt 4G63 engine will drop right in and bolt right up to my car or is it not going to fit? Also will I be able to keep the same manual transmission or will I need a new one?

First off, your motor is Mitsu, not Dodge...you have a Mitsu SOHC 4g64 motor. You can get a 4g63 head and bolt that on, and I believe you can get oil lines, exh mani, etc to put a turbo on that one if you want. That way you have a 2.4l turbo instead of 2.0l turbo.
