Question for TRE probe users

I replaced my autometer egt probe with the TRE one and noticed that it seemed to take longer for the egts to drop after letting off throttle. With the autometer one, after I let off hard throttle, I usually see the EGTs drop quickly. But with the TRE, the egts seem to stick for a while even though I would expect them to drop much sooner. Does anyone else have this issue? Could it be related to the gauge I have (autometer sport comp) ? TIA

Mine is very responsive, both up and down. It's possible that the probe on yours got screwed too far in and is touching against the other side of the runner.

Thats what I was going to say. You have a stock exhaust mani on your 1g? Where do you have the probe tapped at? My TRE probe reacts very quickly. I dont think my gauge would let it go any quicker.

thanks for the reply, maybe I'll unscrew it a bit. It's on a ported evo manifold now , tapped near the #1 runner , the most popular spot I presume...
