Hey all, ive been having trouble finding the crush washers at my local parts store for the turbo oil return line. The part that connects to the turbo housing. I was wondering If i used a thread tape would that be sufficient to seal the threads? or would it be forced out by the pressure the system generates?

Your playing a guessing game with that one, and I wouldn't guess when it comes to your oil return line (Plus, your talking about ALOT of heat on that tape!). You could seize your motor real fast

I can't take credit for this, saw it on this forum and it acts as a crush washer..Works for me:)

or would it be forced out by the pressure the system generates? YES it would force its way out, eventually

If it has tapered threading then you can use tape.

If it has straight threads (most metric) and alternative way of sealing is needed, crush washer or a buna seal type oring.

DO NOT USE THAT TAPE! why would you want to do that? just order them online if you cant find them at your autoparts store. Im a licensed plumber, that tape isnt rated for that type of heat, or pressure. Try Napa, they usually have them in stock. Or you can get them from STM for like 2bucks.
