I have just finished fixing my jbend on my SMIC with JB Weld and detacted no leaks after I instaled it and did another leak test. I was just wondering if JB Weld holds up good and was wanting to put some sorta tape around that section for added security, i was wondering if exhaust tape or something like that would work good or maybe just good ole' duct tape?

Im not so sure duct tap is your best bet here...exhaust wrap would be fine though

dang, i thought duct tape would never fail me . how u think the jb weld would hold up?

If you get a clean and scuffed-enough surface, it's a very good use of JB. There's also an aluminum "solder" used with a propane torch that'd be excellent for those rot holes.

Don't use any tape so you can keep an eye on it. looks good to me. I used that stuff to patch a hole in a cyclinder head once on a quad.
