How much power and hp can the stock 7 bolt crank handle?

I read somewhere that the bottom end is good to about 400 hp

I don't believe that the crank is what is limiting the bottom end to 400hp. The 2g rods are more of what the problem is. I have seen lots of people over on the EMS board that put down over 500+hp and I pushed just a little over 400 on my seven bolt before it gave out. You pretty much will be fine unless you are looking to make some really high horsepower.
