Question about my APEXI downpipe - FWD

I have an Apexi downpipe laying around that a friend gave me a while ago. I want to put it on my 97 Talon TSi FWD, but have a full stock exhaust. Is it possible to bolt the 2.5" dp directly up to the stock exhaust with no problems?

Also, this is a cat-less dp, Im guessing this will trigger a CEL? If so, how would I go about clearing the code?

You'd need a neck down adapter to bolt to the stock catback. That is, assuming you can separate the exhaust pieces since you live near the salt. Prepare for the worst is what I'm saying. And yes it'll throw a code. And it'll keep throwing a code no matter how many times you clear it. You can either wire in a resister box that'll trick the ECU into thinking it has a cat or you can get an O2 sensor adapter on that moves the sensor away from the exhaust gasses and also tricks it into thinking there's a cat.
