Question about led tail light bulbs

This may seem like a stupid question but what is needed for led tail lights? I just want to replace bulbs not the panels but I know the regular bulb are dual filament. I know next to nothing about LEDs and I'm wondering if the bulbs are a direct plug in and still retain my driving lights and brake lights or if LEDs are one brightness all the time. Like I said I'm sorry if this has been answered but I've looked for over 2 hours and haven't found a definite answer. I know I'll have to do the load resistors and all that for the blinkers.

That's what I'm looking at, but on the website it doesn't specify if they do driving lights and brake lights. Plus the really bright ones are like $20 each so that $60 for each light. I want to be sure it'll cover both brightnesses before I drop $120 for led tail light bulbs.

They will, I have them in the front and the rear. You need to look of the bulb application chart. If I remember correctly there 3 bulbs in each tail light and it is two of one type and one of the other. You will need to use one load resistor on each side otherwise it won't blink.

1157 bulbs are the dual filament. Could be the 1156, I get those mixed up at times. the one that's dual filament will do parking lights and brake lights. each led bulb requires a load resistor

Thinking about it, there are 2 1157s and 1 1156 in each taillight. The outside bulb is the 1156 because that is also the rear tail/marker light. The 2 inner ones should be 1157s....brake lights. I can double check it tomorrow.

When I switched to LED lamps, I used 1 load resistor in each side passenger/driver sides. That was enough to make them blink correctly.

I got the load resistors from Amazon.com already to go in a kit. Resistors with 6" wires soldered to each end and inline crimp connectors. There are like 6 ohm and 50 watt.

ya, the 1156 is parking light on the outter side of the tail light. the 1157 are the parking/ brake/ turn light. about all the auto part stores have the load resistors and led lights.

Ever think about lighting the Eclipse center part up? I've done it with mine but it broke. or do your own race track light as a parking light?

Eventually I'm gonna paint my center section body color then put nightshades where is said eclipse then put leds behind it so it looks like black lettering until I hit the brakes.

Not exactly I'm gonna take the letter stickers off and it'll be body color around the letters then tint where the letters were
