2G Question about auto and manual engine 2g

So my short block is shot on my manual gst a buddy is offering to sell me a short block that’s built for 700 hp but is off of a automatic he claims it will work for my manual. My question is how so? And will it?

Yes, his engine block will work in your car. The engines are identical between transmission types. The only thing you may have to do, is pull out a pilot bushing from the crankshaft so the manual flywheel can seat properly to the crank. Beyond that, no differences.
