Ok it turns out i just bought in to this blatant bullshit of an ebay ad, seeing that I got a good deal on an Apexi N1 muffler (mind you I read the page at least 15 times looking for ANYTHING that said "styled" or anything including generic or replica)...well the guy emailed me AFTER he shipped it telling me its a styled muffler...I'm don't really want to spend the 170 bucks for the authentic one b/c to be honest mine is an RS with a bad paint job (really twisted turn of events, it'll take too long to explain). plus I'm going to Boston for college in september so I'm getting rid of the car. I'm just doing this to get rid of this REAAALLLY bad fart can that it already has cuz i wont last til september with that rattle...

In other words...does the Apexi N1 styled mufflers sound the same as the real ones or at least decent?

I am pretty sure they don't sound exactly the same but maybe similar? and you won't get the hp gain with "styled" mufflers. I plan on getting the same one on ebay soon execpt the real deal :thumb: It's worth the extra money for your car in the long run plus its better quality and A'PEXi N1 series owns :p

I have an RS type n1style muffler. it sounds similar but not the same. a little buzzy when it is cold. but not too bad.

I mean, if my car was worth tuning and I was gonna keep it, I would definately invest in the authentic N1...But the truth is chances are I'm not going to have a car for more than 3 months, and IF i do have to have a car, I'm definitely going turbo AWD

I bought the same "styled" catback, I love mine. It feels great, and sounds good too.

Nice and deep, only slight rattle when engine's cold, but you'll probably get that with most perf. exhausts and it's gone once engine warms even a bit. Also, all stainless... :thumb:

I bought me a megan n1 style muffler and it sounds pretty good no buzzing sound or anything like that but at a price that is $150 cheaper than a real n1 muffler its all gravy to me.......

I bought the real deal Apexi N1($210 w/3 day shipping) just got it today I'll post a pic after I get it on tomorow. I dont buy fake shit.
