Question about an intercooler

I know this a very big newb question and i was just curious but, when it rains, wouldn't water get into your intercooler, then through the IC pipes, then to your motor/turbo which then equals a done motor

No water would not get into your intercooler its a sealed system. Water may get on your intercooler but it isn't going to get inside your piping unless you have a big leak.

think of an intercooler as a radiator for air...

hahaha... sorry its kinda just like your radiator... its a closed system, nothing will get in
