When my car changes gears the engine revs a little between each shift. I know this is not normal but has anyone else experienced this? If so what did you do to fix it? Other that this it runs and shifts perfectly. Thanks

The transmission flaring between shifts could be the first sign of wearing out or it could be something as simple as it's time for fresh fluid. I don't know if DSM TCUs are like their later ones, where they learn your driving pattern, but resetting it might help.

It has a newly rebuilt TCU in it. I bought the car thinking the tranny or transfer case was bad but come to find out it was in limp mode. I replaced the TCU and it shifts fine other than this minor problem. I'm sure the car sat for a while though because the inspection sticker went out some time in 04. I'll try the fresh fluid and filter and hope that helps out. Thanks :thumb:
