putting a 14b from a 5 speed DSM on a auto DSM? what boost gauge to get?

ok i wanna get the 14b for my car what all will i need to convert this over or is it a direct fit. My car is auto therefore it has the smaller turbo. But i wanna go ahead on move up to the 14b to get all the performance i can out of my motor through the upgrade path. Also im fixin to order a boost gauge but dont know what to get. I like the autometer carbon fiber but wonder how well it lights up at night? What about a autometer white face gauge what color do the light up to at night? I wanna keep it under $70 for the boost and want to be able to get a matching EGT gauge later on. Thanks in advance

Unless I'm sorely mistaken you already have a 14b. It's your injectors that should be smaller. 390 vs 450.

You will need a exhaust manifold off a 1g manual car or an 2g.
You will also nee the oil and coolant lines from a 1g manual turbo car.
The automatic is a tdo4 turbo and all this stuff is different.
As for the boost gauge. I like the Stewart Warner gauges.

You are mistaken. A 1g automatic comes with a tdo4 13g turbo.

autometer gauges dont light up that great, you could look into DEFI D. they are almost an exact match for the stock gauge cluster

Well son-of-a-bi***! I guess that's what happens when you never even consider the existence of the autos. Never driven one, never thought about buying one. I've pretty much ignore them. Thanks for filling the gap in my essential DSM knowledge.

ok so i need the manifold whats the difference or is there a difference between the 1g and 2g manifold? it should be pretty cheap along with the oil and coolant lines. and the reason i have a auto is cause i got the car dirt cheap with a phucked up head didnt know that at the time i bought it it wasnt running. I have less than $1000 in the car including what i gave for it and all the parts i bought to make it run. I've got arp studs, complete topend gasket set, all new belts and tensioners, a new 1g head with a stage 1 port job by slowboyracing, and the interior looks brand new!!!!! But i wanna make it go faster. So autometer gauges dont light up that well shurley there white face gauges light up good.

get a 2g exhaust manifold. they flow better then the 1g ones, plus they are less likely to crack.

I've got the autometer sport-comp gauges i believe, they are silver faced and they light up fine from the center vent in my 1g. They don't light up really bright, but its definately enough to be able to see at night.
