Put on 1G BOV now boost spikes!?!

I have a 2G and just put on a 1G BOV. Everything appears to be tight. When i hit WOT the boost spikes to about 17 then drops down to around 11. I was holding at 11 with the stock 2G BOV. WTF??? I have a hallman MBC but dont want to put in on yet if this is a problem. Also...i heard that the 1G BOV is louder. This one is NOT louder than my stock BOV, its actually way more quiet. Thanks for the help.

It's because it doesn't leak like the stock POS bov did.

But the MBC on it might help controll it better. Most T-25's usually spike anyways...nothing to worry about.

Ok..that makes sense. But why does it not sound anywhere near as loud? The dump tube didnt fit the 1G BOV as well as the 2G. I just kept on twist'n the hose clamp and made it tight. Should that matter??
