Purge Valve connected to CO2 for show quality?

Ok, before I get flamed for wanting fake purge... I have 2 2nd gen Eclipses, one is being built for race, the other for show... I want to get some purge (colored maybe) for the show car, to give it the extra kick it needs to be a first place winner every time, but NOS seems a bit expensive just for the little bit of extra show quality.

I heard somewhere that you can run purge valves to basic CO2 tanks, the kind of stuff you'd use to play paintball, etc... and can get the same basic look of a NOS Purge, but without the high cost... is this true, is this POSSIBLE? If so, would anyone like to point me in the right direction?

yes it will work just fine. I think CRY02 has a kit just for that but yeah just you a purge kit and then throw a c02 bottle in there and be done.

i indeed have had cry02 in my car. it is made by DEI. it is a great little kit especially for purging, it is so much cheaper to purge CO2 than Nitrous and on top of that any Paintball place will fill it, even Dick's sporting goods will fill it. Setup is extremely simple and it's a whole lot cheaper. I actually have my full cryo2 kit for sale right now out of my old car. If your interested PM me.

if your going with a custom version instead of cry02, make sure you mount the tank upside down so the liquid co2 goes out the valve instead of the gas. unless of course the tank has a syphon tube installed, then mount it normally. you'll want the liquid for show.
