Punishment Racing downpipes same as ebay???

I was going to buy a PR 3" downpipe but before I made the leap I decided to check ebay and see what was on there.

Now, after looking at the PR site, they have a picture of the 2g downpipe on the page....in an ebay auction they had the same EXACT picture. There is posterboard/paper that curves upwards to show the downpipe good, and on the left side there's some blue cloth. Its the same picture. I don't think they stole it from Punishments website but its possible.

So does PR make their downpipes or is this the same DP on ebay and their website? (I won't post a link don't want to break the rules)

Just order the downpipe from punishment racing.... It probably is an ebay downpipe that punishment sells, just like their front mounts and radiators... But they make sure that they sell good quality stuff.... And if anything happens to it, you can call punishment back and they will be happy to assist you... I can't say the same about the ebay company....

Hmmm, they changed the picture on the downpipe page within like....minutes of me posting. What's up with that....I assume its the same thing.

What about their atmosphere dumped O2 housings? I think they make their own but not sure....I know they will modify the dump tube to your specs so.....

Their o2 housings are made there unless you order one of their budget versions,which are still good quality and have benn rewelded. I ran one on my 91 tsi awd and was very happy with it.

I'm just going to get a mild steel one from them since it isn't as expensive as the SS....and there's no difference between the two.

We don't make the downpipes, we used to build our own line of but we couldn't compete price wise with all the other brands out there so we found a manufacturer of downpipes that met the quality we were looking for with good pricing and now carry them.

Our entire line of o2 housings are hand built by us in our shop and can be custom built as needed.

Go to my thread http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/hangout/318310-new-95-gst.html and there is a pic of my 3" downpipe from PR. It's actually a cxracing downpipe but the quality is very good and it comes a nice polish color. Overall it was a great product and a bang for the buck. I would recommend this to anyone.

yeah jsut get it from them, the actual pipe is SS, but the flanges are mild steel, i think?? Anyway, great hunk of metal, its a thing of beauty and it really opens up the exhaust system!!
