PSI on RACE GAS...

i was wondering how much boost can be safely run if you use the toulene+94 octane mixture on a 1g with intake,open exhaust at downpipe,and intercooler piping?? i was thinking of running 105 octane now im not sure how much boost i can run or will the stock fuel system limit me?
any suggstions thanks

YUP! that higher octane dont mean shiznit if you dont get enough of it.

damn! well i cant upgrade right now as priorities have to be taken care of but perhaps id yeild more HP at 16psi which is the max for stock fuel system runnig 105 octane instead of 94. correct?

If you had a way to advance timming then you could do that and keep the same boost. That would help make a bit more power. Perhaps advance the initial timming and try that.

Sorry, let me get a bit more detailed. Since you cant increase the boost level past the effciency range of the turbo you could increase timming and that would help increase cylinder pressure. You can only go so far before it starts to hurt performance so becareful. The only problem is that with a 1G unles you are running a stand alone there is no way to advance timming on its own, unless you just bump up the initail timming.

If it were me I would just chill the intercooler as best i could before a run and just set the boost to about 20#. Thata the max i would run on a 14B becasue alot of that is going to be hot air. That should get you some good times if you can get it out of the hole fairly well.
