So I finally got my engine back in this morning around 2. It sits in there fine, but my 2 large engine mounts aren't lined up and suggest that the engine needs to be shifted to the driver side maybe another 1/4 inch. However, I can't shift the engine over because the water pump pulley is touching the frame of the car already. I know there's a right and wrong way to install the 2 parts of that pulley and its on right. That was my first though when this happened. Anyone else have this problem? If so, how'd you fix it? :banghead:

If the mount inserts are installed properly and the pulley installed properly than there is really no way for the engine to shift.

What would be a wrong way to install the inserts. I looked over them before putting them into the aluminum mount brackets and both halts of each looked identical. I know the pulley is installed right, I've had that problem before so its something I triple check now.

Here are some pics of the issue. I'm positive the pulleys are on right. If they weren't, then the alternator belt wouldn't line up and it does....

The water pump pulley is wrong. The smaller one goes on the inside with the bulge out and the large one goes on the outside.

Exactly, the pullies are most definitely installed wrong.

Are you freaking serious???? Guess I'll know better next time to not work on this for 14 hours straight... Thanks, luckly I just have to life the engine a little to get to the pulley.... FML...
