Proper way to extend the o2

I need to extend my o2 sensor and wanted to know is their a proper way of doing it. Should i be extending the o2 sensor wires or the wires from the wire harness from the car??

It would be the wires from the o2 sensor. How ever I dont know about dsm's but every 4th gen fbody that extends there o2 sensors they usuaully end up failing 90% of the time. The proper way to do it is with o2 extensions I dont know if any vendors on here sell them but they have them in jegs and summit.
