It is so nice to see that others love to choose a hobby as keeping the old sports car the DSM alive. It is something that caught me eye as i am tearing down my 91' Tsi 4g63 motor apart to get the engine rebuild done by a professional machine shop. I found another just like my white one for $200 and your project gives me inspiration as what to do to this project car. It will be very different than the others and will take up a lot of my. Your project has given me hope with some auto and paint classes at the local junior college this year to give me the mechaniical know how. Thanx keep the pics coming

Thanks for the comment mtnmike~! I thought more people would be interested in my project but it seems more people are interested in motor builds... I definately plan on doing some stuff to my 6-bolt but that will have to wait for income taxes... I am a body man myself and if you ever need anything let me know~!

wow awesome Im glad to see that someone pulled there car apart more than I did. now I dont dread putting the thing back together as much. Are you doing all the work by yourself? I am and Its tough because im just a high school senior but I believe I can finish the car this summer.

Looking good. I am a painter at a collision repair shop and have a 91'Tsi AWD that I had to put a rear clip on after a Ranger p/u blew a light and nailed me at 35mph in the right quarter sending me into a pole that took care of the left quarter. Anyway when you get done it should be a feeling of accomplishment that will last you a while.

Thanks for the responses! Man John youre car lokks really nice. I was gonna do the same thing for my badging on the side skirts! since the last post I have got the doors and hatch back on and will begin getting the body work done and maybe even get her blocked... Supreme that is one nice talon~! I really miss my 97 tsi!

looks good is that g31 green? im gonna do my car hopefully soon and i need some tips like if i get a run can i wet sand it and then buff it before the clear is on, any other tips would help this is gonna be my first time painting a car

Ya my talon is ok but it has gone to through alot. Im selling her now and starting a new project. 93 gsx its getting completely stripped and all new stuff put on. Its mainly going to be a track car.
