Ok i was recently going to eat at a McDonald's on our local strip when a honda civic si drives by reeving up his engine. I had decided to chase him down and run them since he thought he was hot stuff. Well we ran them twice on the highway from about 2nd gear on once and 3rd gear on once and killed him both times and stopped around 130. Well he then pulls up next to me when we are turning around and says yeah this civic isn't too bad we need to run them from a stop. I agreed and when we did it he killed me. I know the main reason is because I have very bad tires that take for ever to hook up, but I was driving today and looking at my boost gauge and realized that I am only hitting like 3 or 4 lbs of boost in first gear. I have a stock turbo and I am hitting about 15 psi in ever gear. That had to have a lot to do with it, but I dont know what the problem is. My check engine light is on and when I took it to a Mitsubishi dealer they said that the code came back TPS throttle position sensor but since it would cost 200 dollars (160 for the piece and 40 for labor) I have not fixed it yet. Do you think that is the problem? The guy asked if I have any problems in idle and I said no so he said I should be fine going a little while without fixing it immediately but I will pay anything to keep from getting burnt by a honda again. My mods should be in my profile. Thanks for any help!!
Also I have a ist gen bov that is venting for some reason even though i have everything hooked up right, at least i think. Could that have something to do with it?
