I have a 97 GS-T with a HKS GT25 T3/T28 turbo. Also have an HKS link EMS but my problem is that whenever I boost past 6-7 lbs it starts missing. Any ideas?

the car does have nology wires, MSD ignition, FMIC and other things too. Is it the WG SNS or what could the problem be.

also when I am in 5th gear going 60 or so its at 3100-3200 rpms. I believe the is a little high.

I'd start with new plugs, a boost leak test and getting some real NGK wires to replace the lackofnology ones. Why do you have an MSD? stock ignition works fine?

You may also want to make sure that your knock sensor isn't pulling timing as boost comes on. It may be phantom knock which can be caused by several things or it might be actualy knock. Either way you'll want to fix it.

i changed the knock sensor, got new wires. I got the ngk wires. and it still does the same thing.

on the E-link there is electronic control for the wastegate, it reads;
WG Z XX (xx=two digit number 25-85)

I'm not sure what each setting means but there is a range between 25-85 and if I adjust it higher it idles up to almost 2K rpms. but i dropped it down to 25 and when i am creeping about 20 in 2nd and 1st the car chugs. I finally found the happy medium at 45 and turned the boost to 14 and now it runs great.

btw the was a little boost leak also. bad gasket. thanks for all the help :thumb:

at first I wasnt going to do that then today I was doing some work on a miata at the shop and I came across some of those Greddy ISO platinum plugs. Honestly I think that they were the ones I bought about a year ago and never got around to putting in. They were for the 4g63 so I put them in. Also when I took out the old ones I noticed that #3 was almost totally bad and #2 was starting to get fouled also.

I put the new ones in and now when I shift at 6500-6800 it doesn't pop anymore.

Thanks for the help everyone.
