ok here is my problem,. it only happens when at WOT. at about 5psi the car totally shuts down. suddenly gains power again goes up to 10psi then shuts down again but then gets power again. it is not fuel cut. I know that for sure.

I have cheked all wiring for the camtriger and coils. and they are good. I changed the coils and no good. I have not tried with another camtriger. I think its ignition related. but my computer tells me no errors with the ignition at the moment of the problem.

could this be a mechanical problem??

any input that might help me get this resolved?

yours shut down like if you turned the key to off?? thats how mine does.

im thinking if it was sparkplugs it would make a missfire but not shut down all 4 at the same time. anyway Im going to change them. maybe it just that.

Check your battery terminals to see if they are connected properly. My car did the same thing a while back. Found out it was loose terminals.

If it completely shuts down, how does it suddenly gains power. Do you mean upon restart?

Mine didn't shut off. That sounds pretty bad. I'd try cleaning your battery terminals, and definately check boost leaks. If you have a leak, your car will barely run when it's in boost. I had a nasty leak that caused my car to buck horribly.

oldman. it shuts down, what I mean is it looses all power and sudenly gains it again. no sputtering no strange sounds. just shuts down like if you put your key to the off position. but I keep my foot at pedal and it sudenly works again.

Its not spark wires, they are new.

its not boost leak. I know for sure.

its not coils, I already tried with new ones.

it could be battery terminals. humm I didn't think about that. I went and cheked them when I read the reply and they were kind a loose.

about battery terminals. engine looses all power, but in the cabin I dont loose current. and I have no problem when starting the car everyday. given the facts, could battery terminals still be a possibility?

I cant go test the car right now, cause Im waiting for some poxy I put on a hole on the tranny to dry.

any more inputs are apreciated :rocks:

Have you had any changes to your fuel setting latly? Do you have a pocketlogger/wideband or someother way of seeing if your going lean? Sounds like a fuel pressure problem under boost not getting that 1:1 ratio. Check to make sure the vac. line to the regulator is still on.
