problems after auto to man swap

I did my auto to manual swap a while ago. And i am so glad i did the conversion! But ever since i did the conversion, i noticed that i didn't have much clutch pedal. No matter what i did (new flywheel, new clutch kit, extend clutch master all the way out, bleed the slave)=still not much clutch. I was informed to replace the clutch fork and pivot ball. I replaced the fork and ball last week and now it is a pain to shift into ONLY reverse. If i keep "forcing" the stick into reverse, i fear i may break something at some point in time.
ANYONE EVER RAN INTO THIS PROB? ANY INSIGHT???
