problem with battery or alternator

When my friend was putting my manifold on my car he bumped the alternator with a wrench on accident and it sparked, when we started my car after installing the manifold my anti lock break light was on, my windows didnt work, my interior lights didnt work, and my heat didnt work. We drove around for a while and it drove good and we made 2 stops at the gas station and the store and the car started right back up like normal. Then i drove to my house which is about 20 miles from my friends house and turned my car off and it didnt sound right when i turned it off, so i tried to turn my car back on and it would try to turn over but it wouldnt start. Then this morning i went out to try to start my car and it started, what could be the problem?

check your alternator fuse...i bet you its toast

Yup It's the Alternator fuse. I blew mine when I pulled of my heatshield and it Grounded against the O2 housing and blew the fuse.

If memory serves me correct, it will be a 100 amp fuse. You will need to take off 2 screws to get it out, Its a pretty heavy duty fuse.

Thats exactly what happend to me he was tryin to take off the heat sheild, problem is fixed it was the 100 amp fuse, thanks for the replys

Always disconnect the negative battery terminal when doing major work on the car.
