battery or alternator problem?!

my car will run and drive perfect and ill be driving the car and once it warms up and I shut it off it wont start it makes a clicking noise when trying to start it but yet the battery is working fine and the lights, music, windows, etc; works?

Okay so this is why my car would not start..

This little thing broke somehow so there was nothing pushing down the switch that it's supposed to. That switch is just to the left of the clutch pedal. It took me 3 hrs of doing and testing other things when all it was was this little grommet stopper thing.

This is just one more thing to look out for when you have a "no start" issue on our cars. Hope it helps somebody out.

Note: People should know he is talking here about a "No Crank" condition (starter does absolutely nothing). Most people refer to a "No Start" condition as one where it cranks but engine never starts.

The same happened to me, my solution was to buy battery terminals, those that come with torx screws.

the car starts great when cold. It seems when the car is warmed up it does it only maybe cause the battery is a little weaker? im going to take it down to auto zone and see how much is left in the battery if its getting weaker ill replace it.




so far I have cleaned all corrosion off wires on the battery, do you think i should clean the starters?

Cleaning the starter terminals would be a good thing, but if the battery tests good I would have the starter tested I would lean more toward a starter problem, but test to make sure.

not too sure about how people test these problems. but i had a bad alternator and took it out ( i knew it was bad just wanted to see what the auto part store said) and i took i to them and they tested it and said it was good. i knew it was bad as to the symptoms and the battery and brake light staying on with my car on but again the store said i was wasting my money on a new one. i told them id buy a new one and my cars performs just like it did before it went bad. my point being taking it off and testing it from them, i dont trust as they told me mine was good but it wasn't. theres a thread somewhere on here on how their tests can read wrong. but i would not rely on their info. take the starter to a shop that works on them. but most the time if it sounds like a duck it most likely is a duck. sounds like a bad starter or bad connection. my opinion
