Okay guys (and gals), I need some help.

When I take off from a dead stop, my car starts to sputter and choke like its going to back fire. It is just really unsure off the line. It is fine once I get past 2 grand but it just had me worried. I figure I would consult you guys before going any further. I might have to do something as basic as cleaning my injectors and replacing my plugs and wires, but I thought I would get info from you guys first.

Any help appreciated...

Thanks,
Matt

(I'm obviously not too sure as to how to properly diagnose the problem so if this is a reposting of an already existing topic, I apologize.)

I had this sputtering problem myself, try checking your air box/filter and try re-setting your ecu by removing the negative battery terminal for about 10 mintures.

the airbox wouldnt cause choking at 2,000rpm but then run fine at higher ones. my guess would be spark plugs or wires. take them plugs out and see what they look like.

I would say plugs and wires too because I had the same problem when I first got my car.

deff plugs and wires, ive already had that problem b4, once they were chaged car ran beautifuly, also keep an eye out for oil seapage in the area where the spark pulgs and wires meet, right now my car is leaking oil into there and im not getting a good connection between the plugs and wires so my car sputters and runs like crud. getting it all fixed this weekend, THANK BOB.

:D Wow, thanks for the quick replies, fellas. I'll check 'em out first thing tommorow.
