Problem after motorswap

Ok so i need your help!

I bought a mint 90 TSI AWD shell, then picked up a 90 tsi awd parts car, motor was not running in the parts car at the time, so I got it running before I pulled it, the motor ran MINT in the parts car.

Pulled the motor out of the parts car and put it into my shell.

Now the car has a very rough idle, and if I hold the accelerator down at about 3k, it surges and hesitates(sounds like its misfiring,pops,kind of like an ignition cut for launch control). I cant get past 3k unless I "blip" the throttle.

Things Ive checked:
Perfect Compression across the board
2 different throttle bodies w/ sensors
2 different 90 CAS
All cylinders getting spark/fuel
Boost leak tested the car.
Vacuum line delete

Please help!

Did you reset timing on the car after the motor swap?

Also are you useing the same maf that was in the parts car? Maybe you have a bad maf.

It sounds like you have weak spark if you cant rev over 3k. Try checking to make sure the spark plug gap is set to .028" and make sure the plug wires are in the correct order and have good connections.
