Not sure where to put this so in the newb section it goes. I was looking at pro street website and they say that they have the OEM timing belt kit for $189 with a water pump. Has anyone bought this setup and know whether it is actually the OEM setup or a knockoff. I know that everyone says that you need to go OEM for the timing belt kit.

I have deleted the previous post so this doesn't turn into a vendor bashing thread, focus on answering OP's question.

IMO Prostreet is not some Ebay no name shop nor are they new to the game, if their website says OEM, it probably is OEM, why not just call them and verified?

I did call them today to verify part numbers, but when I questioned the guy about it, he just told me that when you order the part then they will send out the part that I request. Not bashing any one but I wish the guy would have given me peace of mind at gave me the OEM part # when I requested them. I will just have to order elsewhere or wait till a rep answers here.

Alot of times companeys use a random pic of a kit to show what parts come it in, I bet if you where to look up other Tbelt kits from them. the pics would be the same. I have heard of Prostreet. but dont know anything about them. If you order the stuff and its not OEM send it back then

I did order one from them about 2 years ago. It was not original Mitsubishi parts but I they told me before I ordered it that they weren't. I never had any problems with it. But I sold the car about 9 months later.
