Priming oil pump

if its a new oil pump it should be lubed already ....oem and top line i know for sure that their pre-lubed all you need its to prime them
 
New gears need to be lubed and packed with grease. There's no need for priming the oil pump after it has been installed. That's why you use assembly lube on all bearing surfaces during assembly. We get immediate oil pressure during startup. I have put together several engines doing just this with no issues. Just my opinion....
 
What about unplugging the cas and cranking it over untill you can see oil in the head?
