Fort Walton Beach,
One quick question, when you prime the oil pump before you put on the timing belt do you put in oil? I know its a dumb question but just thought I would ask if people were putting in oil before the timing belt and using a drill to prime the oil pump. My motor is not in the car and I was going to do everything before putting it in the car. So should I put in oil before the timing belt and prime the pump and the put on the timing belt and install the motor in the car or what?

Yes, you put oil in the motor. The whole point of spinning the pump is to distribute oil throughout the motor and avoid a dry start up and have some oil in the passages.
You can do this all with the motor out of the car, its not gonna do you too much good since the oil will settle back into the oil pan after a short period of time.

I usually just leave the T belt off, prime it, then pop the T belt back on. You will also want to pull the MPI fuse and crank the car a few times to get oil pressure up.
Good luck.
Later/joe
