Pricing for body work on my Tsi.

I took my Talon to a body shop to get several things done. Install a new bumper/headlights (wiring custom headlights), repair body damage on front left fender and back right quarterpanel (repaint repaired parts), repaint on the spoiler and mirrors. Everywhere else they are going to sand polish and restore so all the paint will match, also removing and repairing both door caps. All together this is a combined total of about 2,100 dollars. Any clue if I got ripped off? Body work is too damn expensive.

that sounds abour right. its costing me 1100 to repair quarter panal repait it fix couple dents in door and repaint it.

also im having my front rear bumpers painted both side skirts and both z3 fenders for 800

so it looks like for the amount of work being done thats a fair deal but im no body specialist. your best bet is get 3-4 quotes see if they all around same area then start from there

That price seems about right. Some people are gonna leave responses on here saying they wouldn't pay over xxx for that, but I used to paint for a few bodyshops and you usually get what you pay for.

I'm looking at almost $2k to paint my entire car. No custom work really, just pulling a bunch of little dents, one or two bigger ones, and shooting the whole car black. That seems fairly normal.

Most shops I've dealt with never even mention polishing/wetsanding to blend unless you want to triple the price, so this shop sounds pretty cool.
