i think i'm going to mod my GSX, but im not sure yet due to monetary issues and time, but i just wanted to make sure im finding everything for as cheap as possible

gauge pods/boost gauge/egt - ~200
air filter/intake pipe from dejon tool - ~150 (do i even need the pipe?)
1g BOV - ~50
UICP - ~200 (do i really need this?)
2.5" buschur downpipe/cat/catback - ~785

things im considering doing instead would be to forget the intake pipe since im not even sure i need that, same with the UICP. also i think i can get a full exhaust cheaper somewhere local, but are these prices fairly reasonable? if not what should i be considering paying?

the UICP make a HUGH different just look at the big kink by the intake. As for the intake pipe my injen make a signicant difference but you really dont need it. Just cut the extra dump tube inside the stock pipe to make it more free flowing. Just get a K&N filter and you will be set.

I don't think you'll see too big an increase with an intake pipe, so I wouldn't buy that.

As for the UICP, someone has a cheap alternative, using a 2.25" 90* bend after the BOV (to eliminate the kinked part as earlier mentioned.) This is only recommended if you plan on getting a FMIC in the future, which will probably end up with you buying a whole piping kit, making the one you bought earlier useless.

I would get a 3" exhaust instead of a 2.5". The Bosal cat-backs go for 300ish plus shipping, and the Megan Racing eBay downpipes are around 130 shipped. This makes for around 500. You will probably need an adapter to connect the two, but it'll still be less than 600 compared to Buschur's 800+.

1g bov don't pay more then $30 for it used, you can ussually find some on this site.I would really recommend this upgrade if you wanna run any high boost because the stock bov on a 2g can't really hold any amount of boost past stock.

I got the brole uicp with the 1g bov for $70. Just shop around and you will find a nice deal eventually.

I would also suggest getting a manual boost controller if you plan on upgrading to a full exhaust becuase the boost will turn up to crazy amount by itself.

Buy a downpipe from a vendor and then have an exhaust shop do the catback. Every shop that I have ever talked to has quoted less than $200, I can't imagine it being too different in other areas. Also, forget the EGT, just stick with the boost guage for now

thanks for the ideas guys, i'll check up on some of this stuff.
do i really need a boost controller for the T25? well..i guess its not a huge price to pay for something that important, so good idea :thumb:

would anyone else not recommend the EGT?

make sure its mandrel bent if you're going to do it at a muffler shop.
