I have searched and read a tremendous amount of post on this problem. None of the previous post lead to solving my issue.
I am having an electrical problem. I will start and drive my car just fine. All systems are good for; vacuum/boost, idle, zero problems what so ever. Then, click! the engine tries to die, the rpm drops as if it's going to stall, the engine light comes on and then it turns off and continues running great.
Sometimes it won't do this at all.
Now last night I took it out for a drive. Gears shifting smoothly plenty of power, then, CLICK/engine light/tries to stall/ engine light turns off, now when I press the clutch the car stalls. I have to rev to about 4K to keep it from stalling to get it in gear and drive. I get it home and look for everything that could be related to this problem and can't find anything wrong.
(NOTE: I can start the car without having to press the clutch, I have the clutch switch disconnected and wired for studderbox, as many dsmr's do this)
This morning, I get up and start the car. It's starts/idles perfect. Press the clutch it dies!
I had someone press the clutch as I looked at the slave, and there's is nothing wrong, everything is operating as it should. Now, I go to the battery in the trunk disconnect the negative of the battery to reset everything and reconnect it. Restart the car and guess what. I can press the clutch and it doesn't die anymore!
What electrical component is related to the clutch that will make the engine shut off when pressed?
I want to make this as easy and clear for everyone to help as much as possible so remember.
6bolt engine 1Gb The engine idles and revs perfect, no vacuum leaks, wired for studderbox, clutch and shifting are smooth, no grinding or any funny engine noise what so ever.
