Hello

I have stock 420a 2g Eclipse FWD and I'm want to set up turbo system (planning for stage 2). I have read lots of articles here, but still get a bit confused.

1) What mods need to be done before turbo setup (air filter, boost gauge, air/fuel gauge, anything else?)

2) Is the following turbo kit okay? What parts it is missing?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/420A...011QQitemZ320144080668QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

3) 25psi for that kit sounds nice, but at what psi the kit will be runnable with stock parts? And how big the power gain will be?

4) Does drivertrain needs to be modified/upgrades for handling extra load?

5) I get confused about fuel mileage. Some say that sometimes mileage improves. How?

There is alot more that would be needed up change your N/T to a Turbo. First off, your compression is too high in a N/T to run anything higher than 4 to 6 pounds of boost. You will need bigger injectors, a turbo coil pack, turbo injector/ignition module, and alot more. search the forum for N/T to Turbo conversions. There is alot more involved and it would be less of a hassle and cheaper to just go buy a turbo car and go from there.

:nono: Please don't pass false information on. As for the OP, use the search option in the 420a section. This question comes up at least twice a month.
I also wouldn't recommend that kit though. Build your own kit with the parts you want. You can safely run 8 psi of boost on a t3t4e 50trim turbo. For fuel you'll need a 12:1 FMU and a 255 lph hp fuel pump (for 8 psi of boost). The rest is really up to you...

So the injectors and turbo injector/ignition module is needed or not?

But at 8psi is less than 25psi. I know that parts from the kit may be not the highest quality, but it will take less than 50% of maximum load. What are the possibilities that turbine will break at such low loads?

You do not need larger injectors to run 8psi on a 2gnt, and your factory ignition system is more than adequate. Shorten your plug gap to around 0.028"-0.032", and make sure you are using copper core plugs. Try one heat range colder, on the plugs.

The turbo will not be damaged by running less boost. Be wary of eBay non-branded turbo's, some people have luck with them, some people regret their choice quickly. Consider paying for a bit of quality, at least with the turbo itself.

Aside from the FMU and pump, you will need an FCD.
