The car I picked up the prior owner removed the power steering, lines, and reservoir. I got a new pump and starting to install it, from pics it looks like it sits right above the alternator. I don't see how or what it bolts to. Does anyone have any pics or could someone post a pic please. I'm wondering if there is a bracket missing that I need. Any pics, links, ect would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help:thumb:

Great picture, thank you. I'm in the midst of reinstalling mine. Luckily previous just took off pump and bracket but left lines and res.

^ yea you lucked out, mine removed all but the rack. Also noticed that since mine has aftermarket motor mounts I lost the mounting location for the reservoir. I have to get creative and make a bracket. Anyone know if it has to sit as high as it did for better flow? or is it okay to mount it lower behind the pop up light on the driver side. Would be more level with the P/S pump then above it.

I did a google image search and it looked like it was mounted to the motor mount support bracket. Do you have any up close pics of what it mounts to? I currently have no place that it could/would mount so its possible I'm missing another bracket.

here are two pics of my car for reference.

I dont have any pics of the PS reservoir setup at the moment, but I can try and find some for you later. I edited your pic. The bolt holes Ive circled in red are two of the holes that the reservoir mounting bracket bolts to. The reservior itself is then attached to this bracket by two bolts. The clamp Ive circled in blue is what would bolt to the motor mount- just the clamp that holds the hose, which isnt entirely necessary, once the hose is attached to the pump. The second pic is of my engine bay. Ive got a similar motor mount to yours on that side, exept mine is a cut factory mount with a urethane insert. If you look closely, or perhaps save the pic and open it and zoom in, you can see how the reservoir mounts up. Also, youre going to have two brackets that the pump will bolt to- one bolts directly to the engine block with four bolts, and has two studs on the top for the part of the factory motor mount that wraps around the front of the motor to bolt to, and the U- shaped bracket that you bolt to this bracket and bolt the pump to. As you can see in my engine bay pic, if youve got a motor mount like yours, or a cut factory mount like mine, you can cut off the portion of the bracket that has the two studs as its no longer needed.

Crap, another thing I forgot to mention is that there is another bracket that wont be used with your motor mount, and Ive circled this in green. Would you mind posting pics of the components youve gotten together to reinstall your PS? If you post a good pic, I can tell you if youve got everything you need, and even tell you where to cut the excess off of the bracket I mentioned in the last post.:thumb:

Op have you checked the rack and make sure they didn't manualize it? There's a thread in the mods on how to do it. If someone has I'm not sure you can put power back to it. There's some cutting and welding involved if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks I will have to double check, I was told that he just removed it, the fittings are still there and it had a hose between both fittings. I didn't see any signs of welding or alterations to the rack but I will read up and double check. Thanks again for pointing this out.

I think I may be missing some of the lines as well, was considering adding an oil cooler in place of the factory FOG light on the Drivers side. I still have some playing around to do yet but just something I was considering after today. Hoping I can find everything to allow this to work and be back to OEM status.
